The "problem" is how match dynamics are so fundamentally altered in terms of having individual initiative severely restricted, I can appreciate having this odd matches as a fresh change from the "standard" dynamic, but having this sort of "counterplay" becoming the rule for most matches is not really alluring. I felt bored and frustrated during the match (10K in Alaska is horrible), the enemy was very timid and removed from the action but I was "chained" to supporting my team and playing my role so I couldn't play otherwise without risking my own ship by singling myself out or risking my team mates by weakening our AA density. one of the best examples of "counterplaying" CVs I've seen, mirrored by a standard poor display from the enemy side.īesides the oddity of having a team actually working together and playing to their roles, I want to highlight how dull and limited it felt to play that match. even rarer given how it developed: My whole team knew how to play and adapted to having a CV game. I had this match yesterday, a rare Ranked CV match.
